National Road Safety Week
December 9, 2020
15-22 November 2020 marks National Road Safety Week, highlighting the impact of road trauma and ways to reduce it. Every year, approximately 1,200 people are killed and another 44,000 are seriously injured on Australian roads, including 171 lives lost from heavy vehicle related incidents (June 2019-June 2020).
Road Safety Week gives MBB Group a chance to reflect on our work, and that of our transport partners, on significant road infrastructure projects such as North East Link Project, WestConnex (including Rozelle Interchange) and Sydney Gateway.
These projects are estimated to remove a combined 25,000 trucks a day from local roads, making them safer for other road users, and our cities more liveable spaces.
