Renewable Energy WHS Best Practice Review

Renewable Energy Work Health & Safety Best Practice Review

The NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap is a coordinated framework to transition the NSW electricity sector into one that is cheaper, cleaner and more reliable. It will deliver around 12 gigawatts of new generation, 2 gigawatts of storage capacity and attract up to $32 billion in private investment by 2030.

The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) wished to understand Work Health & Safety (WHS) standards, requirements and best practice for the renewable electricity infrastructure supply chain, in order to ensure the renewable energy sector workforce is safe and secure.

MBB’s role included undertaking research into best practices in other jurisdictions, developing market engagement materials, undertaking market engagement with market participants, and developing reports setting out findings and recommendations.
