School Infrastructure NSW

School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) is responsible for delivering a once-in-a-generation program of works that aims to provide access to high quality education facilities across NSW for all school-aged children.

The Government’s investment in public education infrastructure provides the opportunity for delivery of new schools, major building upgrades and maintenance strategies that elevate the standard of education and change the way our future generations learn.

MBB Group have been engaged by SINSW to support the delivery of a number of Tranche 1 and 2  Primary and Secondary Schools. Our role includes assisting SINSW in the procurement of specialist consultants, project strategy and definition, stakeholder collaboration, and design development and management. Our objective is to achieve SINSW assurance approval to facilitate implementation of the rollout for SINSW.

MBB Group have managed the procurement process for consultants and contractors through competitive tendering.

We have assisted and prepared Strategic and Final Business Cases for Sydney Metro and Regional NSW primary and high schools, successfully managing the design from Initiation, Masterplan and Concept through to Schematic Design.

To ensure critical milestones were achieved MBB Group utilised the planning pathways of State Significant Development Application, local council Crown Development Application, Review of Environmental Factors and combinations thereof.

Each school and site had unique challenges and constraints to be resolved to realise the best value-for-money solution for the NSW government.

MBB Group are also managing the upgrade of four Far North Coast Schools, optimising the sites to achieve the required expansion. Key considerations for the successful management of these projects were the planning pathway strategy to minimise duration and manage risk to the program, and the design management of specialist consultants.
