Sydney Gateway

The Sydney Gateway Project is a major multi-modal transport infrastructure project located in the South East Sydney area. Upon completion it will connect the Sydney Motorway Network with the Sydney Airport and Port Botany precincts via a new interchange at St Peters. It will also duplicate the remaining section of single track on the Port Botany Rail Line to the entry of Port Botany.

The project also includes an Airport Roads Package which will provide high-quality connections to the Sydney Airport domestic and international terminals and relieve heavy traffic congestion on the local road network around Mascot.

The Port Botany Rail Line Duplication will increase capacity for the existing freight rail line. It will enable a greater modal share for rail freight and help accommodate the predicted growth of Port Botany.
